Journaling is on the pull out tag under the photo and reads:

"It was Easter and we had just finished hunting plastic eggs in the yard. I sat the kids down on the grass in the hope I could take a group shot of them in all their Easter finery. I shot picture after picture, not really content with what I was getting. Lexi and Nick didn’t want to look at the camera, Toria wanted to be goofy. Jim was standing on the porch, tapping his foot, impatient to get going to his parents’ house. I was becoming increasingly desperate to capture the moment. Then Toria spotted a ladybug and I knew it was all over. There was no way mom and her camera could compete with the fascination that ladybug engendered! I shot one last picture then gave up.

I remember feeling disappointed, knowing I hadn’t captured what I’d set out to. But I dutifully uploaded the pictures to the computer and began reviewing them. I found myself coming back again and again to that last shot, and smiling. Until finally I realized that I’d captured something better, more important, more real, than any posed group shop could be. Three little ones, heads all snuggled close together, sharing the incredible bond of childhood, where even a commonplace ladybug is seen as a little wonder in the grass."
