I've just been scrapbooking for a few months. When I first started, I went to the store and picked out a bunch of kiddie-themed patterned paper. Then I found this site, went through the gallery, and, hmmm, no kiddie paper anywhere!

Well, all is not lost since the little bath paper I bought inspired this design. I punched out a circle of the bath patterned paper here (the circle that says "1st bath") and used that image of an old-fashioned claw tub with an overhead shower as my template for this. I drew and re-drew a template. It took a few tries to get the right scale.

I had a hard time achieving balance on this page, so I added the three felt flowers on the left. Not sure if it helps... I put them down with removeable tape, so I can take them off or adjust them if you think that would look better. I had initially used the green ribbon vertically (to create stems) for the felt flowers, but I thought the page was too busy when I did that.

I don't have a die cut machine, so I hand-drew and cut all the elements here except the fluttering hearts.

The hearts coming down from the shower head were primarily driven by my desire to give my son a little modesty. But they also worked well with the theme of being showered with love.

I have 2 boys, so I rarely have an opportunity to use any pink. I hope my little one won't hate me for all the pink used here. It just seemed to fit. To me, it lent a softness and babyness to the page. He's only 6 weeks old, so it will be awhile before he can protest. :-) This was his first bath. He was 16 days old.

I usually type - and hide - my journaling, but I am always impressed when scrappers include their own handwriting. It seemed particularly appropriate here with this title. I hope you can read it!

I really want to learn and improve, so please feel free to make suggestions to this page (and anything else in my gallery).
