This is just wonderful - I'm so glad you entered the challenge and challenged yourself - you have produced something so unusual and interesting! I love the window effect too!
OMG - this is So beautiful Izzy; don't know how I missed it (and I'm on this site almost 24/7 - LOL!). What a fantastic concept! The photos are just darling, your design is amzing and I absolutely love the colours! Terrific job!!
This is so pretty. I love how you did the mosaic picture, and that little bow in the corner is great! (And no matter how old you are, happiness is STILL momma close by!)
This is my little one during his 2-month photo shoot. We were a little behind scheduling this so he was actually 11 weeks old. New mommies and scrapbookers are pretty much always behind, aren't they?
He was a good sport during the quick shoot, but when he got a little fussy at the end, I told the photographer, "It's okay to take a pic of him crying." She did and this is his pitiful little face. How he tugs at my heart strings. I can't look at this photo and not want to immediately go love on him.
I hand wrote a little note on the tag that's peeking out from underneath the crying photo. The tag gives the date, the baby's age and the little story recounted above.
On the mosiac photo, I journaled the definition of happiness. I'm not sure you can read it here. The print is kind of small. It says: (Happiness Is) A warm bottle A full tummy A dry bottom A toe tickle A sweet cuddle A soft lullaby And knowing that Momma is always close by to make everything right in my world.
I like the way the photo of the two of us turned out. To me, it looks like the viewer is peering in on a private moment through a window. I have the mosiac challenge to thank for this idea. This was really out of the box for me. I have never entered the technique challenge before.
I did a little doodling with a white Signo pen (around the heart on the photo, on the pink clip, on the flowers and I "doodled" the white x stitches). I inked the Thickers, the hearts, the tag and some of the paper. The pesto green paper and pp are SEI. The cardstock is Bazzil.
Thanks for looking. Please forgive the crooked pic of the page. I welcome your comments and suggestions. I love learning from all of you and value your input.
