Such an eye-catching page! The pictures are adorable and your design really shows it off. I can't believe the haircut was $30. I take my son to a similar place for $11 a cut.
This is so adorable!! Great photos, design, and pp's -- I really like the stripes - like a barber pole! Excellent job - I don't think you should change a thing!
I love this as is... it's not too busy! I like the design and may have to lift. I have yet to do my DS first haircut pics.. just so happens to be the same color scheme. We went to Kid's Hair up here. they have regular salon chairs. I paid $15. They didn't wash his hair or anything, just wet it down. But it did take a bit, as DS has a ton of hair!! I will let you know when I get mine up. Thank you for the inspiration!!!
No, no! It's not too busy. I love it! LOL I think the 30 dollars we pay is for the "experience". I took my son to a similar place, but he totally did not care about the car he was sitting in or anything. He did NOT want his hair cut. This is adorable!
Love the cube look, thats so cool they have a kid salon there! Totally bites its so expensive, love all the different pics of the event, and the color scheme is so great. I personally really like the striped paper, and all the embellies. But I always love bold patterns!!!
I agree, don't change a thing, Izzy, it looks awesome!! Love the cute photos; you've captured this adorable milestone perfectly! How cool, I never heard of a kiddie themed hair salon!
Such a cute layout! I like having equal amount of stripes on top and bottom. Love the sequence of photos and the happy faces of mom and gmom. Great layout!
I love the circles at the bottom and the owl in the corne is adorable! I also love the tradition in your family of celebrating such an important milestone.
I absolutely adore this! putting you into my fave artists! I can just tell :o) and look at his beautiful red hair! funny, we didn't cut either of my children's hair until after their 1st b-day....this is absolutely adorable! as for my input on the stripes....I think it looks great...I love navy blue though too...but my policy is...never go back and change anything!!! move on to the next :o)
I think the stripes add definition; but it's really up to you. It's an absolutely adorable LO. We didn't even get a receipt; smart you to keep it with the LO!
This layout is my son's first haircut. In our family, we don't cut a baby's hair until after his first birthday and we have a little BBQ afterwards to celebrate this milestone. For his haircut, my Mom and I took DS to a kiddie-theme hair salon where the client chairs are vehicles such as a firetruck, police car, or pink convertible. I was expecting the experience to be a little more elaborate, but I think the haircut was over in less than three minutes. The stylist didn't wash his hair. She just misted it a bit with a spray bottle, then snip snip snip, all done. No blow drying or styling or product. But it somehow still cost $30! I taped the receipt to the back of the layout. I also saved a lock of his hair but that's in another baby book.
The upper left photo is right after his haircut (which he didn't like) but he was happy it was over so he flashed us a smile. In the bottom left, he's reaching up to ring the bell on the firetruck. The bottom R photo is my Mom and me after the cut.
I'm not sure that I like having so much of the striped paper showing. Too busy, maybe? I'm thinking of trimming the striped pp is so that more of the navy border shows. Thoughts on that or other feedback? I welcome suggestions. Thanks for looking.
