This is my newborn on the Fourth of July. He wasn't quite old enough to indulge in our picnic, but he was fascinated by the watermelon. We put a big wedge down in front on him and he was mesmerized by the unusual texture. He couldn't stop touching it. He ran his fingers over it like he was playing the piano. It was so cute to witness his curiosity. I would have loved to know what he was thinking.

This was my first attempt at using cardboard. A little tricky to punch and ink, but I like that it made flowers that didn't look girlie.

The pp under the bottom photo is from the Basic Grey Wassail collection. I guess the design is meant to be colored snowflakes or sparkling lights, but they looked kind of like fireworks to me! The pp on the tag and behind the title is the backside of the same Wassail pp. The red check pp is LYB Valentine paper called love letters. The pattern reminded me of the checked tablecloth from our picnick. The pinwheel is made from Scenic Route July 4th pp. I tried to fit in pp from every holiday here, lol.

Thanks so much for looking.
