This is my son at 18m at school with his fabulous speech therapist. Four months ago, he was diagnosed with a clinically significant speech delay. I wanted to do a page to celebrate the progress he’s making and to let him know how proud I am of him. We are so blessed to have found a talented therapist who is wonderful with children. My son just adores her. We don’t know what is causing his delay but in the age of Autism, early intervention seemed a good path to take.

The journaling says: My sweet boy, you are so smart, funny and engaging and we love you so much. We think you’re perfect in every way, but when you weren’t talking by your first birthday, we had you evaluated for a speech delay. We found a terrific therapist and we began meeting with Miss Joanna for weekly speech lessons when you were 15 months old. She was wonderful and the two of you became fast friends. Your language skills took off. By age 18 months, you had a vocabulary of 20 words and you’re constantly learning new words and new signs. We’re so proud of you.

There’s also text on the photos that describes the action in each scene.

Papers and embellies are Studio Calico, the Elementary line.
