My dog zoe. We got her from the pound when she was about 8 weeks. I have done some pages about the abuse she had endured just as a little baby. Her fur was burned off on her paws and tail from a skin infection. along with pneumonia. We got her and cleared up all of her medical conditions. Some of our family was concerned because she is part American pit bull and we have three young children. They were concerned she would be aggressive or hurt one of the children. However, Zoey is about the most timid dog I have ever owned and very dainty. She is even scared of our cat. She has come out of her shell quite a bit in the last year and is very loving toward all of us. I have owned dogs all my life and understand how to train and care for them. It is also important to teach kids how to behave around all animals. She poses no more of a threat than my yellow lab does to my children. My sweet girl gets a gold star for her gentle nature.
