I absolutely love the chalkboard trend that we see everywhere today. This surface has jumped off of the classroom walls into my heart! I used the beautiful new "Family is a Gift" stencil to create a custom chalkboard wall hanging using a chalkboard plaque from my local craft store. I attached the stencil using painters tape, then applied light paste. I used various flowers and ribbons to add color and a feminine touch to the plaque. I finished my design by creating an outline around the flowers using a chalk pen.
