My SIL's bachelorette party (last night) was a spa night at my other SIL's apartment. We had drinks, snacks, and did our nails and hot wax hand treatments, and watched My Big Fat Greek Wedding. It was really fun so I had to scrap it right away. Someone took a picture of the coffee table with all the nail polish and shot glasses, so I wanted that to be the main picture. In the cut-out picture of me, I'm saying in an excited voice "We still have THESE" and holding up 8 of those shooters from the checkout of the liquor store. I wanted to put a bubble with those words in it, but I didn't have room they way the pictured ended up being laid out.
I did this in 2 hours (I'm getting faster/less anal!!). I wanted to try for the art-journal look, if that's what it's called, so I cut out one of the photos and tried to be pretty random about where I put things. No techniques on this one. Just cutting and pasting! I put down random strips of pp under where the photos would go so the black paper wouldn't show between the photos. Then I added the vintage resin stickers (which I got this weekend at a yard sale put on by my LSS). I kind of like this style, but I don't have enough ephemera-type stuff to use. I might slip in a vintage-looking journalling tag if I ever find something. Maybe a measuring tape because the bride is a seamstress?
