Although there are a lot of downsides (economic) to living in an area that relies on the fishing industry, the bonus is that lobster is cheap when it's in season twice a year! We have lots of lobster in May and December. Around here lobster used to be so cheap it was thought of as poor people's food and families would hide the shells in their garbage out of shame. We like ours plain with butter and coleslaw on the side. And a nice cold beer, of course. We always cook hotdogs as a back-up, as the kids are hit-or-miss with whether they'll eat a lobster. The metal decorative thing is something my sister gave me when I visited her in Moncton. I put green copic marker on it as I didn't have alcohol inks and I wanted it a colour.
