Gorgeous photographs. Beautiful oriole and love the close up of the nest. I love how you describe each of your photographs in detail. Greatly appreciated. Keep those wonderful photos coming.
A female Bullock's Oriole. She weaves a deep, pouch-like nest which hangs on/at the end of a tree branch. She typically uses long, flexible pieces of grass but she'll also use found materials too like horse hair, baling twine or strips of tarp like you see here. This nest may look like A MESS on the outside but it is very cozy on the inside. [2016-06]
