The MDF base was primed and then painted with distress black soot.Images from Art Impressions. The couch (arms and front), Celeste (her and her shirt), and the chihuahua's head were paper pieced. I used modeling paste and a few alcohol inks for the bricks. The mortar background was made by rubbing the distress hickory smoke pad over the craft sheet, spraying it with water, and pressing the paper down on it. Then, I sprayed it with the Graphite Glimmer Mist. Multi medium matte was used to glue everything down and then to seal it all at the end. Sentiment from Riley & Company.
