This is a list of dates that Shannon (mommy) gave me of big and little firsts. I wanted that to be the main focus of the page but I realized it broke off into sections: the journaling/picture, the title, and the stitching. I distressed the journaling using ink and black chalk and finally did it without burning it with a lighter. I inked the title words with black as well and then inked around the boarder of the paper with "dusty concord" (purple). Each little section has flowers around the edges and brads at the top, and since they're seperated by space (though not by much) I feel like their sectioned off. I tore the paper for the journaling and attempted to tear the picture but only got a little bit so i just cut in a jagged way. I added some green ribbon and I liked how the big ribbon, flowers, and bigger brad make a small title look bigger. Even though I wanted the journaling to be the focus, I tore a big piece out of the top and then did a lot of inking to the pink piece of paper under it before stitching, I wanted to give it more of a distressed feel.
