I recently realized that my easy-going attitude about waiting is not quite the standard. I was compelled to write a poem about it and then I felt the need to scrap it out on a page. The poem says:
waiting is free
it requires you to do nothing and
invariably
it seems to always come just when you are rushing
so it’s like a get out of jail free card
when you most need it
you get to STOP and think for a few
settle down and try to remember your name
(just who am i again?)
ain’t nothing to it
this is the easiest thing in the world to pull off
i can do it standing on my head and
of course
with the requisite one arm tied behind my back
so i need to ask
why all the hating on waiting?
