The thing is, she is in Florida where the beach is sunny and the water is warm. I am in the Pacific Northwet where the beach is cloudy and the water gives you hypothermia.
The two days we spent at the beach, it rained sideways 85% of the time. My dd and her bff managed to have a good time anyway.
On the way home, my dog got carsick in his crate. I chose not to scrap that particular part of the trip...
