This journaling is so awesome, its all the words we think and yet they don't want to hear right now, but will one day so appreciate it!!! The colors and blue eyes are great too.
What a good looking guy. I think that you have a wonderful and thoughtful photo of him and you captured the spirit of a teen with the colors and patterns you used.
I am so far from this stage with a 6 and a 1 year old, but I already dread the day. I hope he gets past it soon!
Wonderful layout and how very true. You don't say how old your son is, but 'one day' will come. Unfortunately, the reality is that we moms have to wait a bit first. Surprisingly by the time they reach 20 they come to recognize that mom was a pretty special person. heehee, they'll even offer to take care of you in 'your old age'...but as for me... "Honey - Just BOOK ME A CRUISE instead"!!!! (sorry - I guess I'm a bit sassy today!) But the wait is worth it - because they give you grandkids!!! (Loved the journaling)
This layout is for the March Color Challenge: Navy! (the paper is really a dark navy and all the ribbons are black - they didn't scan too well!)
On this layout, I used photo inking to color my son's eyes blue while the rest of the photo is done in black & white. He has beautiful eyes that I wanted to capture.
For me, this layout captures a moment in his life that I don't quite understand. We are in a phase where rules and guidelines seem so unfair to him. It seems that no matter what I say or do it's wrong. One day, I know he will understand (I pray for that day to come sooner than later!)
Hidden Jouranling (folder under his photo)reads: One Day...you will understand: why you had rules why I wanted to know who your friends were why you had to hold the doors for me and your sisters why you had to turn the music down why I wanted you to do your best in school why you had to take medicine every day why you had chores why you had to face consequences for your choices why you had to get off of the phone at 9:00 why I prayed for you every day why I love you unconditionally why parents aren't perfect how very proud I am of you and honored to be your mom. I love you, Jeremy Mom
