My mom's cat, Shilo, took years - and I mean years- before she would let anyone pet her, let alone brush her. However, she has always had a special place in her heart for my daughter. Maybe that's because she was around before my daughter was born? well, I always said Shilo thinks she is her baby kitty. She has a special tolerance for her that she has for no one else.
