This was for a Challenge over at Dixie Pieces, What smells remind you of Summer? Journaling reads:
My Summer’s were spent with my Grandparents in Carpinteria, CA. The highlight of my visits, were trips to the beach. I loved feeling the sand between my toes, playing in the surf and eating picnic lunches. The most memorable things for me were the smells. I remember the smell of the salty ocean, and the seaweed that had washed up on shore, the smell of suntan lotion and brand new flip flips. As an adult, when I smell these things, they take me back to my Summers on Carpinteria beach.
