Fantastic 2d page to this lo. I love how you incorporated the memorabilia into lo. I also like the journaling on the vellum. Again, this is an awesome 2 page lo!
Mary, this is so cute, I don't think it is too busy at all. I wish I could use lots of different papers like you, I always think it looks so neat but I always chicken out. Wonderful job on this lo.
I like this one, too! One small thought they may easily take some of the busy feel away - just put the two photos of the kids together or mat on same piece of card stock - it'll take the patterned paper away from the middle and put the focus on the kids and tone it down just slightly. I've done something similar to that before and it made a BIG diff!! I really like the tix and the way you matted them and all the fibers! Fun layout!
I completed this LO for the October Scraplift Challenge and the Get Those Pages Done Challenge. I tried alot of new things on this LO, and I'm afraid it turned out a bit too busy.
This journaling on this page is a pocket that holds a tag containing 2 more pictures that didn't fit on the page and some journaling about the pictures. The tickets form a pocket and hold 2 brochures about the Skylon Tower.
The journaling reads: We arrived in Niagara Falls around noon on September 25th. After checking in at our hotel and walking down to see the Falls, there was no question about where our next stop would be. Cameron had seen the Skylon tower in the distance and insisted that it was the Tower of Power from the Backyardigans. We decided that even though the day was a little overcast, we needed to see the view from the top. Unfortunately, we decided to see the 3-D pirate movie at the Tower before we went to the top. The movie started out with 3-D cannon shooting right at us. Cameron was so scared that he spent the rest of our vacation covering his ears and running from any noise. Once we got to the top of the Tower, things got a lot better. The view was beautiful, and the kids loved how windy it was at the top of the Tower.
