In 1967, the Chicagoland area was crippled by a snow storm that dumped 23" of snow in 24 hours! They had only predicted 4"of snow, so no one was truly prepared for this disaster! While my dad worked on digging out the car, my mother pulled a sled to the grocery store! With four hungry kids, she had to dig deep and find a way to survive! Journaling reads, "A woman is like a tea bag...you don't know how strong she is until you put her in hot water!" The best part about doing this layout is that I am currently surviving a blizzard of my own! We have had over 20" of snow dumped on us over the last 24 hours!! Of course, with modern technology, we knew that this was coming our way! I won't be pulling a sled to the grocery store, but I just might build a snowman!!

I entered this layout in the February Monthly Sketch Challenge. Kudos to all of the women who enter this challenge and actually get it right! Very hard to do!
