Our Principal lost her Mother, so I made her a card, mailed it, then had a thought. It might mean more to her to have every student and staff member sign their condolences, but wasn't sure how to execute it. Got permission from the school first. At Michaels, I had bought this INCREDIBLE Jane Davenport butterfly book and extra insert pages awhile back (see separate pic of J.Davenport's beautiful art of the girl with purple hair that I will use as my outside cover) and wondered if it might work. I didn't want my name on it but for it to come from the school, so I needed a place to add a typed-up message. So I threw some Dylusions and Tim Holtz inks all over the inside first/last pages, used some stencils, typed up a sentiment, and I'll take it to the school next week and ask everyone to sign it, one class at a time. Granted, it's not best suited for Sympathy but it's beautiful, and it's what I have. I can add extra pages, if needed, so I guess I'll just have to see how this works out. I think she'll just care what the staff/students write. Her fave color is green, so I threw a ton on it. (Sorry about blocking off the names but wanted to protect her privacy). Thank you for sharing your art on here and for all of your sweet and encouraging words! Blessings! Debbie
