She is very lucky, we live right next to the bush and never see one, lots of kangaroos but no Koalas, lucky her...poor little fellow and they don't normally drink water either, they get all they need from the gum leaves so this picture tells a real story.

My sister get lots of Koalas in her gum tree,this one came down on a day that was 44c or well over 100 F,they dont usually come out in the daytime.TFL
