This was the only one of my great-grandparents that I was privileged to know. She is the same one in the "Vintage Couture" LO recently posted. She was such a sweet, gentle soul, I could only picture her on a page surrounded with soft, pastel colors. The photo was taken for her church directory in the mid to late 1960's. The journalling at the bottom reads:

Laura Bell Swearingen Berry
Born: April 13, 1887, Pettis County, Missouri
Died: September 22, 1973, Long Beach, California

I remember her with great fondness. I never once heard her say a cross or unkind word. She was a sweet, soft-spoken Christian lady, dearly-loved by her family.
