SHCG: You know I love the nontraditional sides to every holiday, so I love these! Even moreso, I love that there are people in a swap who are going to be getting these. Lots of cleverness in your details, like the ribbon serving as batwings, the skull's eyes cut out to reveal the champagne flute's pattern, the star in the girl's hair and the flower punch to cover up her private part. (My mom and adoptive grandmother used to call mine a flower. Can you feel me rolling my eyes from all the way over here?) Extra valentine chocolates to you for using the scratchboard and anti-Valentine heart candy sentiments--natch!
SHCG: I adore these! What a fantastic idea and you pulled it off beautifully. The little touches on these are great, I keep looking at them and seeing more. Fantastic job Sharon, I think you have found something new that you excel at!
SHCG: These are just as wonderful - love the little heart stickers. So neat how you can get that many embellishments in one little area - and you know me I love to add lots and lots of stuff.
These are for Marsha/RN2007's Valentines 2010 ATC swap. We didn't have to do Valentines-themed cards so I did 2 sets - these are ANTI-Valentines themed! I found these hilarious tongue-in-cheek conversational heart stickers (they say stuff like "Go Away" & "Get a Life" LOL) & had to use 'em! Hard to see but I also used that black paper that you scratch off to reveal a multi-colored shiny background...I didn't have a stylus so I used scissors to scratch away, so the lines look a little rough! The backgrounds for all but one are Prima Paintables paper, colored w/ watercolor paints or pencils. The hearts are on pop dots. The cards w/ the rose stickers look blurry here due to the dimension. The top right heart is on a black ribbon (also hard to see here).
These were a lot of fun to make. Thanks, Marsha, for hosting!
