SHCG: This is a beautiful, simple card. I love the masking and the stickles. I have these masks too and love using them. One thing you could do to add a little more color/dimension to this page would be to add some Glimmer Mist to the gray. This would add a little sparkle to the gray.
SHCG: I agree about loving the fact that your mask has such clean edges. I also love how you inkd the page just enough so that you can still see the texture of the page showing through. Great color combo.
SHCG: Wow! Your masks have such clean defined lines to them, no bleeding. I kwym about not being sure to post something for critique when it's so simple, but the pp, ribbon, and masking are not all that simple. My only suggestion is to layer your ink color, by adding some yellow and red orange tones just around the leaves and petals but not toward the outer edges of the cards. Still, I'm with Chris, the gray goes well with this BG line. Oh, and you don't know how many times I wanted to combine this BWC with others! Did I scoff at that idea? Hm. Don't remember. Hitting myself right now.
shcg (wow I've missed writing that!) - I have those same masks which is the first thing I noticed. I love how you used them with the gray color and those BG papers. A perfect combo.
This is a response to Brenda/twinscrapbee's "Put on a Mask..." Challenge for Scrap Happenzz Critique Group. I didn't think I would respond to this one (I initially thought I might then saw her crack the whip prohibiting us from combining this w/ other projects, LOL!). BUT I saw some cute masks at Memory Lane (LSS in Quakertown PA) during a retreat & I was inspired. Even after making this, I wasn't sure I'd post this for my response because it's kinda simple. But oh well, here tis. I wanted a shadowy look for the background so I inked it using the sponge end of a Colorbox Stylus tool (have had 'em forever but hadn't used them much.). The scan doesn't reflect how shiny the gold Stickle touches look IRL, oh well.
Thanks for the challenge, Brenda! I've only used masks once or twice before, so it was cool to revisit 'em.
