Feb Colour challenge - Grungy love (pink.black & white)
I'm not a huge fan of Valentine's Day hoopla but I did want to send one to my dds. The white cs with the writing on it pulls out completely and has a letter to my daughters on it. Journalling: My darling girls,
It’s been just the three of us for a little over 10 years now. There’s been some tough times and we haven’t always seen eye to eye but I hope you never doubt the depth of my love for you.
I am so very proud of you both; you have blossomed into beautiful, intelligent, caring young women.
I am not given to “mushiness” (I have always felt that actions speak so much louder than words.!) and goodness knows there hasn’t been money for extravagant gestures so I hope that you have felt my love in the little notes tucked in your lunch bags, the small gifts on your pillows when you return home, the care packages mailed to dorm rooms/apartments. And I hope you are secure in the knowledge that you two mean the world to me!! Love n’ hugs, Mom
Some distressed, some stamped tattered lace, desaturated photos and faded bg pp for the grungy look. I thought the felt shape was reminiscent of a V for valentine's day and I threw a couple of stickpins and ribbons in there cause I felt like it!
