At first, looking at your LO, I actually thought there was a rat sitting on your page. The pic looks so real!!! Your revised LO looks great just as it is. Nice job.
Love the monograms and embellies you used. I like the suggestions Danielle made. However, I really like the design of this page, just as it is. This is such a fun page!!
I like the changes! Maybe something for between the two pictures on the right? I think it's fine the way it is but you said you still like it's missing something. That's only only space left. :D
Love the cut out rat on the title. The blank space is too much in the middle of the two page layout to ignore. What about moving the round picture to the left, and putting the picture in the bottom left more into that blank space? This way the two pictures of the rat on the shoulder would be closer together. And if you added more journalling, they'll be closer too.
I also have a rat cut out that I can do for you on my Wishblade in any size or paper you want. Here it is in a layout. Just pm me. http://www.scrapbook.com/scrapbook_layouts/showphoto.php/photo/178472/cat/5863
This is too funny! RATS!!!! I love the desing here - how everything is placed. I think I would put a 2nd journaling box in the empty space...since you said you may need more room anyway! I would love to see some photo turns on the edges of the photos, or some ribbon on the edges, maybe even some photo corners. This is a super start!
Maybe a space for journaling in the shape of a circle with a tiny piece tucked under the corner of the top left picture. Or maybe a subtitle such as "Oh Rats!"
ok the one thing that just popped into my head was some kind of diecut/paper piecing of a little rat.. I can't think of anything off hand that might work, but that was my idea about the open spot!!!
Okay, so this is the first LO I've worked on in March.. I've added some ribbon, eyelets, and journaling. I still feel like there is something missing, what would you add? Everything is now glued down.. Also, this was my first attempt at making monograms! What do you think?
Journaling Reads:
The Outgoing One: Lupe The Shy One: Gordo Favorite Treats: Kettle popped popcorn, apple butter How Gordo Got His Name: Timo wanted to call him the Fat Man, so we called him “Fat” in Spanish. How Lupe Got His Name: Theresa thought he was kind of loopy (crazy). She didn’t realize at the time that Lupe is a GIRL’S NAME.
Why RATS: Timo really wanted a ferret, but Theresa vetoed that right away, but compromised and agreed to get rats. When she saw them as babies she thought they looked SO CUTE. As they grew up, they stayed cute to her because she LOVED them so much. They really are very sweet creatures. Why we had to give them up: We were moving to Boston and there were NO apartments that would allow us to have rats as pets. We did find a good home for them, however, with plenty of other rattie friends to play with.
They were a part of our family for only six months(December 26, 2003 - June 1, 2004) but they will have a piece of our hearts FOREVER!
