This is for a challenge on the Grams group I belong to. We were to scrap an early or memorable Christmas memory. I chose the Christmas my first born child joined our family..quite an exciting time. Journaling says: One of the most exciting and memorable Christmas' I had was the year my son Dustin was born, on Dec. 22, 1975. It had been an exciting, anxious and fun, but long and medically challenged, pregnancy. I was scheduled for a C-section two weeks before his due date. I was awake during the first part of the procedure and when my fabulous doctor pulled out a hand he said “I hope this hand is attached to a boy because it is huge.” It was and our son was born weighing in at 9lbs. 4oz. After 9 years of miscarriages, two fertility surgeries and a difficult pregnancy there was lots of excitement in our family and circle of friends upon meeting our son. We were in the hospital until 12/26 and on Christmas Day a special dinner was brought to my hubby and me, served on a pretty tray with a rose and a candle. We ate dinner while our cute baby boy slept next to us.
This was a precut sheet (the green) from a company called EZ Laser Designs. I got it at a garage sale for 75cents.. woohoo. I added 'ornaments' to the tree. These pics aren't the best. I did want to use the originals (which are not in the best of shape to begin with) so scanned and printed on my old funky printer. Thanks for looking.
