Your story and photo truly warmed my heart. Years ago my DH also rescued an orange tabby kitten with the thought of "cleaning him up" to find him a good home. Well, needless to say, he became my DH's constant companion and best bud. Oscar is surely a lucky cat and one handsome guy. TFS Oscar's story and this WONDERFUL lo.
So cute! I love the paw punch! Great journaling! I tried to make a ribbon flower like that a few months ago, but I couldn't get it to work... How did you fasten the ends of the ribbon? Is each petal an individual strip of ribbon? TFS!
He is handsome & I just LOVE this page. They way you laid it out really puts him on center stage. FAV for sure. Great story- I have an orange tabby with a rescue story too- this gives me all kinds of ideas.
awww....he's adorable, and your description just made my day! When we got our puppy, my DD made a comment on her facebook about the new man in her life being a short, funny looking black guy....definitely raised some interest with her friends-LOL!love the design and colours, and the little labels with the checkmarks are so sweet!
So flippin` cute! And Oscar is beautiful!! We are getting ready to adopt a cat from a local animal shelter and it makes me even more excited when I see Oscar!!! great layout!!favorite!
"I never thought that a short, chubby redhead was my type, but every time I look at your sweet, handsome face, I am smitten once more....."
This is my other handsome fur baby "Oscar"; 18lbs of adorable 'cat-itude'. Poor little Oscar was abandoned by his mother when he was very young, luckily for him, one of my co-worker's mother found him and rescued him. Originally we agreed to be the temporary foster home until another co-worker (who'd recently lost her own cat to Feline Leukemia) was able to take him. Fortunately for us, she changed her mind. We became instant parents to this tiny handful of fluff (he had a big voice for such a tiny mite though). He was so tiny we could fit him in a teacup. Barely 4 weeks old and ears not even properly formed, eyes still blue and just open he won our hearts. What followed next was a richly rewarding experience of 4-hourly bottle feeds, teaching our baby to go potty, what he couldn't eat, making sure he got enough sleep and play time. That was nine years ago and he's been such a wonderful part of our family. He's crazy, whacky, sometimes very naughty, but always totally adorable and I am as smitten with him today as I was 9 years ago, when I first laid eyes on his sweet little face.
This is another 'use up supplies' lo. I made the ribbon flower myself (idea from Australian Scrapbooking Ideas magazine).
