We had an unusally warm fall this year, and
such beautiful weather certainly didn’t go to
waste at our house. We played in the leaves, spent
some time at the park and just loved the mild weather. Sarah
& Allison were always thrilled to be outside, and I loved seeing
them chase the cat through the yard, dig in the sandbox, or
cause trouble. Lillian had a rock collection in a large bucket
in the yard, and the twins thought it was the neatest thing
to climb inside that bucket. Which was all fine and good
except that the bucket sometimes had several inches of rain
water in it, which I discovered only AFTER the twins would
climb in and sit down. They also enjoyed some free rides in
the wagon courtesy of Lillian, Joey, and even Michael. We
enjoyed the last product from our garden this month with
Allison relishing the last red tomato and Lillian & Joey
hard at work digging up hundreds of mini carrots (Reminder
to self: thin them next year!). Our garden suffered a bit
this year, both from neglect and a huge heat wave in June,
but I was glad we got some enjoyment out of it anyway.
