A Unesco World Heritage site, the city of Melaka (aka Melacca). This city used to be one of the worlds most important shipping ports....away back in the 13 1nd 1400s...even before Columbus headed to the new world. Ruled at that time by the Chinese, then the Portugese, overcome by the Dutch and then the British. This river through the historical center will now be saved, as is, for future generations.
