Believe it or not I once took a mechanics course and had to take apart an 8 cylinder like that! Quite a few parts missing there and such rust. WHo invented it? MANY men. They started tinkering with the idea in the 1200s but it didn't become like your Until Benz got to it in the late 1800s. (see I remember something from class)
