lol at Erjaan! fun...I got something that started to grow, I let it grow since it had flowers, mom id'ed it, she says I'll take over and keep growing...

Cool, I hope it is nothing illegal you are growing that has seeded from the bird food! Now Jack and the Beanstalk springs to mind.. a golden egg???

August 10 update - VINE PROGRESS

Those of you who were with me in prior months know that this mystery vine has moved into my yard. I've decided to let it grow to figure out where it's headed... and guess what? It's almost in the tree. I did a "quick & dirty" photo edit on this to make it more obvious, since it's kind of hard to see due to lots of tree greenery and also the shadows cast by the tree. The dark area is where I lasso'd the top fo the vine as it ALMOST reaches the tree and I adjusted the saturation of the color so the vine sticks out a bit more. The yellow "pencil" circle is the top of the bird feeder pole - from there on up the vine is 100% unsupported and growing completely on it's own power. Wild, huh?
