This layout was created for a challenge of at Scraps of Darkness that I didn't post in time. Shucks! Ah well! The challenge was Dr. Darkness' Interpretation Challenge. The topic to interpret is "Fade" and we were to use mediums. I chose age as my interpretation because I have been freaking out lately about my age. My changing skin, slowed metabolism, random gray hair, etc. This was therapeutic for me because it reminded me that age is just a number. The quote on the page reads "There is a fountain of youth: it is your mind, your talents, the creativity you bring to your life and the lives of people you love. When you learn to tap this source, you will truly have defeated age. -Sophia Loren. The title word "Fountain" was cut with my cricut on black paper and I painted it with some starburst colors shot from Lindys Stamp Gang that came in the awesome January Scraps of Darkness kit. the words "of youth" was also cut with my circuit and used some stickles. Stamped some flowers with the awesome stamp that came in the kit and misted them with lindy's and inked them with Distress ink. Love how this turned out. Oh, and those awesome butterflies were made by the ultra talented Renea (reaneaboquets) Aren't they just stunning? They came in the kit, too and were the perfect addition to this project.
