I like the idea Mlfryar had with building a pegboard cube around the pole for added storage. You definitely need more shelves on the wall too! Great space! :)

Yayy for the cats!! I would try to use the metal pole for magnetic fun stuff!! But..cats rule so...there the carpet stays!! And great desk!!

if cat can do without scratch pole, I would suggest building a pegboard storage cube around the pole. Pegboard is not very expensive and is great for storing things within sight. If you can see it, you will use it!!
