From a young age you loved playing golf. As soon as you were old enough, you took private lessons from Mr. Red. He was an old man who always kept his hands in his pockets. One day, you and I learned why as he was showing you a swing and his trousers fell straight to the ground. He picked them up, swung at the ball, and never missed a beat. You thought that was the funniest thing, but you were a big boy and didn’t say a word until we left the golf course. As you got older, you became more interested in driving the golf cart than working on your game. I think your favorite time on a golf course was when Paw Paw Max let you drive the cart while we were playing night golf. The two of you were laughing the whole time as you drove off the path more than on it. Dad and I would start to hit the ball and here you would come tearing across the fairway. We just knew you were going to wreck the cart or get us kicked out, but you didn’t cause any damage. What great memories you have given us.
