My grandson Jack at Longwood Gardens.

The 2 pages didn't "stitch" together perfectly, so it looks a little skewed in this scan.

This is for the May "Every Child Should" (experience the beauty of nature) and the April/May Boys Only Challenges.

Journaling: When I retired I bought an annual pass to Longwood Gardens so that Jack and I could go there as often as possible.

This was our first time, and Jack loved it! He had so much fun running around without having to hold my hand, especially in the new Children’s Garden. There were lots of small fountains, waterfalls, and even a “curtain” of water, and Jack put his hands in every single one. Thankfully, I had some pennies in my pocket for him to throw into every little body of water we saw.

We both got plenty of exercise as we walked (actually Jack RAN) for what seemed like miles through the conservatories. He was so worn out that he fell asleep long before we got back to his house.
