LO about mygranddaughter and a song ritual that involved us - well, me, really - singing daily to the spider who lived outside our living room window last summer. Journaling says: 'Tessa loves to listen to this song and do the motions. We had a spider that lived outside our living room window for a few weeks in late summer of 2009. When I first saw him, I said "Look, Tessa! It's the Itsy Bitsy spider". Every night we would go sing the song to 'Itsy Bitsy'. She seemed perplexed when he went away in the fall, and would look out the window as if to say "Where did he go?" ' By the way, just for the record, that spider was NOT itsy bitsy. We had several other ones that kept building webs under our deck, and they were big enough for my husband to swing a tennis racket at to hit and kill them (unbeknownst to her, of course!)
