This is my 14-year-old daughter Serena...a photo I snapped during our annual fall photo shoot in front of our house. It was nothing short of a miracle that I took a picture of her that she liked and I was allowed to scrapbook! ha ha! I framed it with the lovely Prima 12x12 wood frame.

The black flower top right is made from tulle, wire and beads...a technique I learned from Iris Babao Uy in a book called "Scrapbook Workshop." I also wrapped tulle around the tree trunk/branches, which are made from Sticky-Back canvas that is inked and embossed. The last piece of tulle is knotted as a border, with wire wrapped around the knots also.

All of the little coloured canvas elements are from one package of Prima Resistant canvas, the "Printery" collection. They start out solid white and I coloured them using Distress Ink and Stain.

This is my first attempt at the simple handmade spiral roses...I've admired them on so many layouts and will definitely be making more in the future.

I have a GIVEAWAY on my blog right now for a kit that has all the product you can use to make this layout...including a whole package of Prima canvas elements! To enter the draw, pop by www.kellycreates.blogspot.com.

Thank you so much for visiting my gallery!
