Summer 1994. I met my brother and sisters from dad's first marriage for the first time. I was 38yrs old. My dad had not seen them since Calvin was a tiny baby. Circumstances separated the children and father, they on the east coast, he in the midwest. Calvin,Marie and Betty flew to Illinois and spent a week getting to know our father and the nine children here. Two years later, daddy passed away. I am ever thankful that he got to visit with his children. We possibly will never meet again, but I keep in touch via internet and phone with my oldest sister, Marie. I am so thankful for the chance to meet my siblings.
