This is one of those B Day layouts where I had a kit, really didn't care for the design that came with, so I played with it a bit, added some extras and some machine stitching and a journal box, and did a pretty quick little layout! It's probably a little busy for some people, but I tend to "collage" when I just play with elements and no design sketch. It's how my brain works... You know if it's clean and simple and I did it, it was a lift for sure! LOL I picked up the doodlie circles from the paper and used them on some die cut circles I used for the letters of my hubby's name to balance the circle I stitched on the paper to the left. I really do love cm story boxes and do all sorts of matting, doodling, stickering to embellish them. I always try to keep a birthday kit of some kind on hand, as I'm usually pretty uninspired on those old bdays I need to scrap and have long since forgotten the details of what we did or what the gifts were... I do remember he wanted my meat cheese dip, cause it's on his shirt! LOL shhhh don't tell him I told. Got this kit at GASC in Arlington earlier in the month, and proud I used it up so quickly! Trying not to build more stash, and use what I have when I can! It's so hot today I could hardly stand on the deck barefoot to take the photo... sorry its crooked but too hot to try again... Oh, thanks to my BFF Olescrapper for teaching me how to zig zag around a circle... check it out on the left... I went slow and rocked it! :)
