Family Portrait 1953(and the true story of Mary's litle red purse)

One of the only pictures of my dad's entire family; his parents and all of his siblings.My aunt was only 3 and somebody had given her this cute little red purse(I painted it red in the pic!)They were celebrating her oldest brother's wedding, and people started dropping coins into her purse. By the time they went to the photographer's studio, her purse was quite full. The photographer reached to take it away from her for the photo...she growled, "NO!" and subsequently ended up with a less-than-thrilled expression on her face in the portrait.She just told me this story recently; said she could remember it like it was yesterday!! Just some punchwork and distressing here; the colours add enough drama I think. Sorry for the glare on the title; lousy day for picture-taking. TFL my friends!
