What a story... I was holding my breath - think I'm too emotional today... This LO is very strong, Lynne. Very beautiful on its emotional meanings and story - even if it's sad. Says an incorrigible romantic girl...
So crazy beautiful with all that texture and technique work! I love that you took the heartbreak of what the photo represented and then worked it out onto the page! So a FAV!
Oh Lynne...how sad that he didn't find someone else. I love how you have scrapped this and used the words on the back for your title. The broken heart is a perfect touch to this wonderful heritage page!! Love it!!!
Oh my, what a story, how precious that you have the photo and that the whole thing wasn't thrown away along with the former fiancee! Love that you took the title from the remaining words on the back. Love your color choices and the broken heart that you have mended! Wonderful!!
wow - that is sad and so very touching. as for the page - man I 've gotta say, you do heritage in such an amazing way. this is incredible! wow fav - love the misting and the barbed wire.

How sad that he never let anyone else into his heart..Makes me want to hunt her down and give her a piece of my mind!(No smart remarks on that comment, Missy!)
Lynn, this is stunning! You are really rocking your layouts, girl, and you're leaving me in your wake! I love the barbed wire and lacing over the heart. Additionally, the texture you created with the blue gauze is very cool. Fave. (I love the descriptive story too.)
a different sort of heritage LO; my uncle as a young man, probably in the 1940s. The photo was torn in half with a tiny remnant of his former fiance left on the edge; all i know is that he was engaged, she broke his heart and he remained a bachelor the rest of his life. On the back of the photo were the words "my sweet...and...", and then part of a date, so it probably said "my sweetheart and me". This photo broke my heart and fascinated me at the same time.
