My friend and I bought the squirrels out to the bush behind her parents' farm and let them go this morning...the one boy raced out as soon as she took the wire off the opening, but the other two were a little more cautious; the little girl kept peeking out and then popping back in for a bit...this is when she finally ventured out. The wooden house was left in the tree for them to sleep in until they build their own nests... bittersweet seeing them head out on their own!! Hugs and thanks for following along on their journey!
