A friend of mine from India recently got married. Indian weddings are full of color and lively celebration. Her groom wanted to arrive at the ceremony on the back of an elephant - a sacred animal in her faith - but was unable to given the price. I wanted to celebrate the spirit and main colors of her special day, and emphasize the traditions and patterns of india. I drew the elephant in Illustrator inspired by a design I had seen in Indian graphics and popped it up on foam squares to add dimension. The elephant and paper ribbon slide off to reveal a gate-folded card and personalized message for the bride and groom.
