looks pretty dusty. Growing up in Saskatchewan, it was not uncommon to have dust storms - we usually had it very, very dry (drought dry most years). And I remember watching the dust storms move in.
This is an unedited shot of the sky this evening in Scottsdale. There is not a cloud in the sky just tons and tons of dust. This was our first major haboob of the season. It's amazing to see these things blow in. Tonight G and I got out of the pool when there wasn't a breeze and skies were blue (as the dust strom warning began) and ten minutes later there were 20-30 mph gusts and the sky was brown. A friend of mine lives on the edge of The Valley and caught some good pictures of the haboob covering South Moutain. Ths is a totally strange phenomenon that I just can't get used to here.
