a gate to stop animals getting through. We use grids in Australia but some cows and horses have worked them out and can walk carefully over the bars.

it's a "gate" My Aunt and Uncle had one in their fence line. It's big enough a person can go through it, but because of the angles animals can't squeeze through it.
