love the cheerful colors. as for adding more your could try adding some with sticky tack and seeing if you like it and it won't put a hole in the wall that way...

Here is one wall from my dining room, it was a dark green and not very cheery. DH painted the room bright white and I used the same fabric I used on my dining chairs to make the embroidery hoops. Do you think I could add some more hoops or will it get gaudy?
