I know I'm probably way too late to pile in on these comments, but I just discovered your room today, so here goes. I LOVE your room but YOU have to live in it. The panels are gorgeous, but I know for myself sometimes I love something then as I begin to live with it, I need less "busy-ness". Since the panels are obviously AMAZING, a few ideas if they're still bothering you (and this advice is worth EXACTLY what you paid for it! LOL!): 1. White panels added to the current ones 2. White panels with pull backs made of that black/white patterned fabric 3. panels made of the darker teal (like your cricut) with white or the patterned fabric pull backs. I don't know anything about decorating - I just do what looks good to me, so maybe pull backs are out. I've also seen people do panels with a wide rim of other fabric, going vertically, which might look good too. Anyway, if you do nothing it will look great - and it goes without saying but I'll say it anyway - trust YOUR opinion the most because you obviously know better. I mean, just look at your room! Rediculous! HUGS!!!
Hello..I'm on Pinterest trying to get inspired on scrapping again, I saw your room and I think I just was....LOVE it...could you please share with me the paint color that you used on the walls...much appreciated!!!
I think the curtains you have hanging are wonderful! They bring the black accents together. I think you should leave them. While will blend in too much, the pattern is great!
LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My scraproom if done in pink, black and white. I am like you. I love my room. Yours seems very organized. I do not know how to spell it, but I LOVE the "chandelier"!!!! I may do that in my room. Thanks so much for sharing.
Your craft room is beautiful,Love the colors and organization. If you are just tired of the curtains color and looking for a modern pop, I would suggest a coral color. Thanks for sharing all your great ideas!!
I think you should leave the curtains but add some white eyelet panels at the sides. It would soften the line and add yet another layer of texture. This is a beautiful room and I am beyond jealous.
I love it just the way it is. If you make the curtains white I thinke it will be just a little pain. I think it makes the room look pulled otgether. Kepp it the way it is. Can I come and play in your space, Ha, Ha. Nice job. I love how the jars match also.
I tried the white curtains on and they will be going back. It just didn't look good. SO~ the room stays as it is whit just minor changes to organization on top of the paper wall. Thank you for all your insight and suggestions!
Hey, you can do what I do with curtains in rooms in my house.....use the damask ones in winter, and switch to white in summer! This way, you change it up and still keep the stuff you love!
Thanks everyone for your wonderful insight. My eyes seem to play tricks on me. And yes, I DO over think things. I can't help it ;0). I may purchase a few white curtains, put them up and see what I think. I will keep the Demask curtains as well as those little buggers were hard to find. I am so appreciative of your eyes! Many thanks!
I agree with Driniki, I have always loved your style and am excited and inspired when you post new pics, but totally understand where you are coming from when you say things were getting "out of hand". I have ADD and too much visual stimulation makes me crazy and unable to focus. Plain white curtains with the black and white patttern for trim or a tie back might give you a calmer visual effect. Good luck, I'm sure with your great sense of style whatever your choose will be beautiful!
If you switch to white, I would keep the damask ones and then when you tire of the white - you could switch back....but if that's not an option send me those gorgeous damask curtains! =D pls
I don't know that I would change to all white... Just white with less black on them...but still a damask pattern would look great, just not so much..
But your room is so pretty just like it is....
Let me start by saying I've always admired your room! While I do like the curtains, a solid curtain may noy be a bad idea. You could add a valance or swag using the printed curtains you currently have. Maybe even add a little beaded trim for a touch of elegance. Thanks for the pics. Keep up the great work!
I cleaned up a wee bit as I was feeling a little crushed. I like everything to look cohesive and it was getting out of hand. I am thinking of changing the curtains to white..any ideas?
