What a sweet story and lovely photos to go with it! LOVE that bit of lace you added on the top and bottom and the hearts are a lovely touch! Cute page!
What a wonderful tradition. So different from ours. Thank you for sharing your wedding custom. I learned something. LOVE the lace on this. It was the perfect accent to highlight her gorgeous dress.
Very different than our tradition in the United States. Her the groom can't see the bride or the dress until she walks down the aisle and he is waiting at the alter for her! When I got married, my husband and his groomsmen were also dressing so someone always had to check the halls before either one of us walked out the dressing rooms so we wouldn't accidently see each other. I love to hear the different customs and traditions in different countries.
Here it is a tradition that bride and groom spend the night before the wedding in their parent's houses. Most of the grooms come to the house of the wife's parents in the morning to see their bride for the first time in the wedding gown, then the drive to the registry office in different with cars with their bridesmaid and best man. Thomas came to see Natascha and bring her her bridal bouquet, which she did not see before. But she let him wait for a while. His mother had to drive home to fix something and so she was a little bit late. Natascha refused to come out of the room until her MIL was there, so she could see how her son looks when he sees his bride for the first time. But it looks like it was worth the wait.
